The court case of the woman accused of helping plan the murder of rapper Julio Foolio, whose real name was Charles Jones is now underway in a Tampa courtroom.

According to prosecutors that she helped track the rapper’s movements while Foolio was in Tampa for his birthday. They claim she communicated with others who later cornered the rapper in a Tampa hotel lot.

Three gunmen allegedly fired dozens of rounds, taking his life and leaving three others hurt.

The defendant has been charged with premeditated murder and murder conspiracy.

Prosecutors have presented forensic phone records that they say connect her to the crime. This includes deleted texts and social media posts recovered from her Julio Foolio courtroom phone.

Her defense attorney argues that she didn’t know what the others intended to do. Her team insists she was just on a trip with her boyfriend.
